Contact York County Environmental Compliance at 803-909-7200; to determine who maintains the storm drain.

2. Do I need a grading permit for a timbering operation?

No, as long as the timbering is not being conducted for a new commercial or residential development. If a development is planned, contact the Environmental Compliance Division at 803-909-7146. The South Carolina Forestry Commission regulates timbering within the state and can be reached at 803-896-8800.

3. What do I do and who do I contact to report something being dumped down the storm drain or into a creek or pond?

Record information such as the date and time that the violation was found, take a picture if possible and notify the York County Environmental Compliance Division at 803-909-7157 during normal business hours or call the York County Stormwater Hotline at 803-909-7250 after hours. 5. How do I file for a Notice of Termination?

Fill out the N.O.T. form then call your York County inspector to sign off on your site. The N.O.T. requires York County approval before you can submit to SCDHEC.
