The need for management of storm water has never been greater in neighborhoods that the city has forgotten. There are several areas that seem to see endless improvement in this county and that’s wonderful. That said, why are we neglecting so many neighborhoods around downtown Rock Hill? Why are we ignoring neighborhoods like Sunset Park? Why is there no storm water management in place? There are sections of paved roads that are so neglected that the road no longer exists and becomes a place for water to run off. There are entire stretches of road with absolutely no management of water in place through multiple intersections. I have been told there are engineers reviewing the area. Anyone can see that any solution would be better than letting residents property flood. This problem has caused standing water for days to weeks after any type of precipitation. We already have cases of mosquitos causing public health scares. Why are we not addressing this issue to improve our neighborhoods?
