Six years ago my commute across Buster Boyd was 22 minutes, day in and day out. Now, it is 40 minutes with lots of gasoline wasted in 10 mph stop-and-go. Northbound traffic on 274 backs up all the way into the 49/557 intersection, causing traffic jams. "Me-first" people pass on the right and cut in front of "get in line early" people - this is just asking for a road rage incident, or worse. So it is no longer just a transportation issue, now it is a public safety and air quality issue. Why does Council not show more concern about this? I spoke to them a year ago and they seemed oblivious, like they didn't want to hear it. How many come from the real estate/development/construction community and stand to benefit, directly or indirectly, from this seemingly unconstrained building?

The need for management of storm water has never been greater in neighborhoods that the city has forgotten. There are several areas that seem to see endless improvement in this county and that’s wonderful. That said, why are we neglecting so many neighborhoods around downtown Rock Hill? Why are we ignoring neighborhoods like Sunset Park? Why is there no storm water management in place? There are sections of paved roads that are so neglected that the road no longer exists and becomes a place for water to run off. There are entire stretches of road with absolutely no management of water in place through multiple intersections. I have been told there are engineers reviewing the area. Anyone can see that any solution would be better than letting residents property flood. This problem has caused standing water for days to weeks after any type of precipitation. We already have cases of mosquitos causing public health scares. Why are we not addressing this issue to improve our neighborhoods?

The vaccine distribution could have been more efficient if we had county level public health leaders communicating with state public health department.
