The York County Riverbend Park Committee is pleased to share the draft of the Riverbend Park Masterplan and is seeking public input through an online survey. Riverbend Park Masterplan information, masterplan video, and the online survey can be accessed via the following link www.yorkcountygov.com/Riverbend. The goal of this survey is to determine the public’s interest for recreation amenities at Riverbend Park. The survey consists of seven questions and will take a few minutes to respond.
The purpose of the Riverbend Park Draft Masterplan is to create a nature-based outdoor recreation preserve connecting visitors to activities and programs that celebrate the native landscapes and ecosystems of York County. The Riverbend Park Committee has extensively worked with Chuck Flink, President of Greenways Incorporated and Landscape Architect Dan Dodd from The Dodd Studio on the development of the draft Riverbend Park Masterplan.
“The Riverbend Park Draft Masterplan is the culmination of seven months of thoughtful work by the Riverbend Park Committee and consultant team. This draft plan responds to public input that was gathered at the start of the planning process and takes into account unique opportunities and constraints of the 1,900-acre parcel of land. The draft plan offers a variety of activities to meet present and future needs of residents and visitors. This is a visionary plan that also offers practical and achievable outdoor recreation solutions,” said Flink.
The deadline for survey responses is Friday, September 10, 2021. Paper copies of the survey can be obtained in the York County Manager’s Office at the York County Government Center, 6 South Congress Street in downtown York.
