Recode York County is a project to update the County Zoning and Subdivision Codes. The goals of the project are as follows: to modernize the Codes, incorporate current best practices, make the Codes more user-friendly by the usage of graphics and a more intuitive organizational structure, improve consistency, ensure predictable development outcomes, retain appropriate flexibility, and eliminate common barriers to desired development.
The public will have opportunities throughout the life of the project to provide input into the code rewrite and review; as well as, comment on draft regulations.
