York County is seeking public input on design options for York County's Riverbend Park. York County Council made a tremendous investment in Dec. 2018, by purchasing a 1900 acre parcel that borders the Catawba River for almost five miles. Riverbend Park, features primary forests, seasonal wetlands, ponds, enormous pines, and expansive meadows.
The public is invited and encouraged to attend a public input meeting regarding the Riverbend Park Master Plan. Drop in at any time during the hours of the meeting to receive information, ask questions, and provide in-person input on the future of this park. Details of the public input meeting are as follows:
When: Tuesday, May 18, 2021
Time: Noon to 4pm (drop in)
Location: York County Heckle Complex-Large Conference Room
1070 Heckle Boulevard, Rock Hill, SC
Currently, Riverbend is not open to the public. For additional information regarding Riverbend Park, please contact the York County Managers Office at (803) 684-8511.
