A large number of volunteers are needed each day to support the COVID-19 Community Vaccination Clinic. Over 40 York County employees, from various lines of work, have selflessly volunteered to assist at the clinic. On Wednesday, Feb. 3, York County Chairwoman Christi Cox, along with York County Councilmembers Tom Audette, Brandon Guffey and Joel Hamilton, made a special visit to the clinic to personally thank the York County employees who are volunteering to assist with clinic operations.
“York County is appreciative of our employees for answering the call to serve,” said York County Chairwoman Cox.
York County is continuing its commitment to protect the safety and well-being of York County residents. From the beginning, York County has been heavily involved with the establishment of the COVID-19 Community Vaccination Clinic. To provide such a large clinic takes a collaborative effort from numerous organizations and community members.
“The York County Council is grateful to all of the local officials, organizations, and community members who have selflessly given their time and resources to protect the health, safety and well-being of our community,” said York County Chairwoman Cox.
Additionally, York County provided resources and funding to help with the daily operations of the Community Clinic. This includes donations of office supplies, PPE, and $10,000 in initial funding to assist with meals for the volunteers. York County stands ready to respond to additional needs that might arise to sustain the clinic throughout this effort.
