On June 30, between 2pm-6pm, York County will launch website redesigns for the following County websites:
Text and content will be accessible as the redesigns occur. There should not be any downtime on any site.
“Designed with residents in mind, the redesigned websites help connect residents to information more efficiently,” said Trish Startup, Public Information Officer. “When visiting York County’s websites, viewers will be able to access the same great information as beforehand, but through an easier to navigate design.”
The redesigned websites feature new modern user-friendly layouts and newly designed graphic buttons to enhance the users experience and provide information more efficiently. Additionally, users will notice new color schemes and pictures for each site.
York County Government Website:
On the homepage of the County’s main website, users will notice a more aesthetically pleasing design including a new layout, redesigned graphic buttons and a lighter color scheme. The homepage displays a new section on the website called “Residents Helpdesk.” This area highlights frequently visited website pages; thus, making information more easily accessible to users. In addition, users will notice that the “News Flash” section is much larger and easier to find and navigate through. Lastly, the homepage still includes access to features such as the County calendars and the County’s social media sites.
Pennies for Progress:
When viewers visit the redesigned Pennies for Progress website, users will notice a new modern look and color scheme. The Pennies website has added user-friendly graphic buttons providing users quicker access to interactive maps and Pennies information. Additionally, the Pennies website provides a larger “News & Announcement” section for users to stay up-to-date on project announcements.
York County Sheriff’s Office:
The Sheriff’s Office design will offer easier access to the information in less than two clicks. At the center of the home page, there is a “How can we help you…” search bar to help citizens find resources quicker. The bottom of the page will feature a dedicated employment section to better help those wishing to learn more about joining the York County Sheriff’s Office family. Much like the York County Government page the “News Flash” section is much larger and easier to navigate. Links to the Sheriff’s Office social media pages are also prominently displayed.
The York County websites are built on a powerful, efficient and user-friendly content management system through CivicPlus®, an integrated technology platform for local governments.
