York County is providing the public alternative ways to attend the York County Council Virtual Meeting and Public Hearings scheduled on April 20, 2020, at 6pm. To attend and/or participate, please follow the instructions set out in Sections I, II, and III below:
By Phone:
To attend and participate in the April 20, 2020, Council Meeting and Public Hearing via telephone, please follow the instructions below:
Dial either toll free number: 1-877-853-5257 or 1-888-475-4499
Enter the Meeting ID, as prompted by ZOOM, enter: 530 426 388
Attendees will then be asked for a participant ID. Attendees will not have an ID, and should press # to continue.
Attendees will hear a notification of being in the meeting; will be able to hear the meeting, but will be muted for the duration of the meeting unless choosing to participate in the Public Hearing.
If an attendee wants to participate in the Public Hearing, please follow the instructions below:
If an attendee wants to participate in the Public Hearing, please dial *9. At this time, a notification will be provided to the attendee that York County has received the request.
The attendee will be notified by York County when it is his/her turn to participate. At that time, the attendee will hear a notification of being unmuted. At this time, the attendee will be asked by York County to provide comments beginning with stating his/her name and address for the record.
Once the attendee has spoken, a notification will be provided to the attendee regarding being muted again.
By Web Access:
To attend and participate in the Council Meeting and Public Hearing via web access through Zoom Cloud Meetings, please follow the instructions below:
Visit the York County Website at www.yorkcountygov.com
Click the graphic image on the front page of the website labeled “Click Here to attend and participate in the April 20, 2020, County Council Meeting at 6pm.”
A box will appear, select “Open.”
Attendee will be asked for his/her name and email address. Please insert that information.
Click Join Webinar
Attendees will be placed in the virtual meeting muted unless choosing to participate in the Public Hearing.
If an attendee wants to participate in the Public Hearing, please follow the instructions below:
Click “Raise my hand” button on the bottom of the screen. York County will be notified of the request.
Thereafter, York County will notify the attendee when it is his/her turn to speak. At that time, York County will unmute the attendee to receive comments. Prior to providing comment, the attendee will be prompted to “unmute” his/her device. York County will ask the attendee to begin commenting by stating his/her name and address for the record.
[if an individual does not have a microphone on his/her computer, the individual may dial-in by phone to participate as described in Section I, above, and still visually participate through web access described in Section II]
By smart phone or tablet:
If an attendee is planning to use a smart phone or tablet to access the April 20, 2020 Council Meeting and Public Hearing, a participant will need to Download the Zoom App, in advance of the meeting.
Download Instructions are as follows:
1. Apple: go to the App store
2. Android: go to the Google Play store
Search for “ZOOM Cloud Meetings.”
Download the ZOOM Cloud Meetings App.
To attend and participate in the virtual Council Meeting via the App, please follow the instructions below:
At the designated time of the meeting, Attendees will open the ZOOM App and enter the webinar meeting ID, under “Join a Meeting”
Type in the Meeting ID: 530 426 388 and click Join
Attendee will be asked for his/her name and email address to type in. Please enter that information.
Click OK and the participant will join the meeting and will be muted for the duration of the meeting unless choosing to participate in the Public Hearing.
