York County is continuing to monitor the progression of COVID-19 across the country and, in particular, South Carolina. The York County Council meeting will proceed at 6pm on Monday, March 16 at the York County Government Center.
The meeting will be open to the public. However, due to public health and safety considerations, York County is discouraging public attendance of the meeting. The Center for Disease Control advises that gatherings of 50 or more people should be limited. York County provides alternatives to view the meetings live as indicated below. In addition, council meetings are re-broadcast on our local cable TV station, CN2 XTRA (Comporium channel 103), and posted on the York County website page and York County YouTube.

Lastly, the presentation regarding Project Avalanche has been cancelled; however second reading will still occur. The Public Hearing and second reading of the I-77 South Corridor Small Area Plan is postponed until further notice. Council will proceed with the third reading of the TIF in Rock Hill.
