The Lake Wylie community has experienced transformative levels of growth. Currently, more than 2,400 single family lots and 250 townhome lots have been approved for development in Lake Wylie; while over 400 single family lots, 25 townhome lots, and nearly 300 apartments have been proposed for the community. In an effort to better manage the growth and its impacts on the Lake Wylie community, the County is preparing a small area plan. This plan identifies issues; as well as, sets forth policies to address those issues.
