Residents and stakeholders are invited to meet the finalists for the York County Manager position. A Meet & Greet reception will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 11,
5-6pm, at the York County Government Center. Remarks will be provided by each finalist. Light refreshments will be served.
The selection for County Manger has been narrowed down to the following three finalists:
· Melissa Cardinali, Assistant County Manager, Cumberland County, NC
· Chris Eldridge, Former Horry County Administrator, Horry County, SC
· David Hudspeth, Interim York County Manager, York County, SC
York County is a Council-Manager form of local government in which the County Council appoints a professional public administrator to implement policies and direct the operations of the County. York County residents approved the Council Manager form of Government by referendum in 1977. The York County Manager is hired by the York County Council and serves at the pleasure of the Council.
York County Council hired S. Renée Narloch & Associates, a premier public sector search firm specializing in senior level executive recruitment, to conduct and manage the York County Manager search.
