[ARCHIVED] Water Main Break: Lake Wylie Area

water spicket

A water main break has occurred in the York County Water system that will impact  Blue Granite Water Company and York County customers in the Lake Wylie area.  York County customers that will be affected are in the following neighborhoods: Bethelfields, Kings Grove, Hands Mill Estates, and Phase II of the Retreat At Sunset Ridge. Crews are on the scene to make repairs to the water main line. At this time, Blue Granite and York County encourage customers to voluntarily conserve water until the line is repaired.

Customers may experience periods of low pressure and/or outages in the distribution system due to an emergency repair in the area. Repairs are expected to take a few hours to complete baring no complications.

Customers will receive notification if a boil water advisory is necessary through the Blue Granite Water Company’s My Utility Connect notification system and through York County notification system.

Once repairs are completed and the system has returned to normal working conditions, a second notification will be sent to all customers to rescind the boil water advisory.

Thank you for your patience as our crews work to remedy this situation. For more information, Blue Granite customers can call Blue Granite Water Company Customer Service Department at (800) 367-4314 and York County customers can call York County Water at 803-628-3211 or 803-909-7275.
