South Carolina Adopt-a-Stream (SC AAS) is a partnership program between SCDHEC and Clemson’s Center for Watershed Excellence that seeks to create a network of watershed stewardship, engagement, and education through involvement. SC AAS volunteers can play an important role in monitoring and tracking water quality while sharing information about local water resources with their communities. In providing baseline information about stream conditions, volunteers, local communities, educators, and local government agencies can partner to protect and restore our waters.
Important:All training will be provided by Adopt-A-Stream trainers. You do not have to have to be a scientist, environmentalist, or biologist to join this amazing effort. All volunteers are welcome!
All Supplies and materials are available for checkout, for free, to all certified Adopt-a-Stream volunteers at the Planning and Development building located at 18 W. Liberty Street York, S.C. 29745.
