Watershed Conservation Districts

The Commission is comprised of five member seats with staggered four-year terms. Only voters that live in the these district will see these offices on their ballots. Three seats will appear on the ballot during a Presidential election and two seats appear on the ballot during a Gubernatorial election.

Fishing Creek Watershed District 13

  • Three seats appear on the ballot with President
  • Two seats appear on the ballot with Governor

Tinker's Creek Watershed District 33

  • Three seats appear on the ballot with President
  • Two seats appear on the ballot with Governor
  • Tinker's Creek conservation district is in both York and Chester Counties

Filing Information

  • Fishing Creek Watershed Conservation District Candidates must file for office at the Board of Voter Registration and Elections Office in Downtown York, SC.
  • Tinker's Creek Watershed Conservation District Candidates must file for office at the State Election Commission Office in Downtown Columbia, SC.
  • Watershed candidates do not pay a filing fee.
  • What to File? - A completed Statement of Intention of Candidacy Form - Nonpartisan (SIC). Wait to sign the form in front of an election official or have the form notarized.
  • Filing by an Agent -  It is not necessary for a candidate to be physically present at the time of filing. An agent can deliver the SIC (properly completed and signed by the candidate and witnessed by a notary) on behalf of the candidate.
