The property contains a fairly significant network of roadbeds, paths, a trail that leads to the top of Worth Mountain, and accessibility to the Broad River.
In April 2001,York County granted a conservation easement to the Nation Ford Land Trust in order to protect the Worth Mountain property from future development and certain prohibited activities.
York County opened the Worth Mountain public boat ramp located at 2165 Daltons Landing Road, Hickory Grove, SC; in the same area as the Dove Hunting Fields. Water enthusiasts will follow the one mile gravel road to the ramp.
York County has entered into a lease agreement with the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR) to manage the property and to provide recreational opportunities associated with hunting and fishing. York County maintains the road and boat ramp; however, SCDNR maintains the remainder of the property.
