As of Sunday, March 15, 2020 the following closures and preventative measures were instituted

  • All York County Library branches are closed until further notice
  • The Culture & Heritage Museums are closed until further notice
  • York County will not disconnect water & sewer services for nonpayment’s during the duration of the Governor’s Executive Order.
  • York County will allow various non-essential employees to work remotely or from home
  • All York County sponsored community meetings, Committee meetings and Boards & Commission meetings have been cancelled.


As of Friday, March 13, 2020 the following preventative measure were instituted

  • Per SC Governor Henry McMaster’s Executive Order, the York County Prison will suspend visitation until further notice. This suspension of visitation will also include community groups/organizations that have scheduled programming at the prison. If you have any questions, please contact the prison at 803-628-3052.
