- Any citizen desiring to file for office must be a qualified elector (registered voter) and resident of the City of Tega Cay.
- Anyone interested in filing for office must do so in person at the York County Registration and Elections Office located in the York County Government Center at 6 South Congress Street in York.
- Candidates are required to complete a Statement of Candidacy and a Statement of Economic Interest in order to complete the filing process.
