ICS-100: Introduction to the Incident Command System
These courses provide training and resources for personnel who require a basic understanding of the Incident Command System (ICS). ICS-100 introduces ICS and provides the foundation for higher level ICS training. This course describes the history, features and principles, and organizational structure of the Incident Command System. It also explains the relationship between ICS and the NIMS.This class may be taken online at the FEMA website or we can deliver it in a classroom setting.

- Describe how the National Incident Management System (NIMS) command and management component supports the management of expanding incidents.
- Describe the incident or event management process for supervisors and expanding incidents as prescribed by ICS.
- Implement the incident management process in a simulated Type 3 incident.
- Develop an incident action plan for a simulated incident.

This course provides training and resources for personnel who require a basic understanding of NIMS.This class is available online at the FEMA website.

- Describe the purpose of the NIMS components, including preparedness, communications and information management, resource management, and command and management.
