Ebenezer Park is a York County-maintained park located north of Rock Hill on the shores of Lake Wylie. It is on Boatshore Road just off of Mount Gallant Road. Its 26-acres offer visitors the opportunity to camp, picnic, swim, fish and boat.

The park is open daily from 6 a.m.. until dusk.

Day Use

From Memorial Day weekend until Labor Day weekend there is an entrance fee to Ebenezer Park. Entrance to the park during this time period requires the purchase of a Day Pass or Season Pass.

There are 69 campsites at the park, each with water, sewer and electrical connections, picnic table and a fire ring. Many of our sites are available for advanced reservations please see lower right corner of the park map below to see a list of our reservable sites. To request a reservation please select "Campground Reservation Request" in the top left corner of our website or visit our office. Due to County policy we are not able to secure a reservation over the phone, we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Campground Rules and Regulations:

  • ENFORCEMENT: Park Rangers have the authority to enforce all Park Regulations and assign campsites. Failure to abide by Park Rules can lead to temporary or permanent exclusion or prosecution.
  • Golf Cart operators must possess a valid driver’s license with no restrictions.
  • Campers are allowed either a maximum of one trailer/RV and one tent, or two tents per site.
  • No more than six persons (or one family) may occupy the same site.
  • Check in at 2:00 p.m..
  • Check out at 12:00 p.m..
  • Site change must be approved by park staff.
  • Maximum length of stay on a particular site is 14 nights. Please see Park Staff for rules on extended stay.
  • Cancelations are subject to fees based on the notice given. See FAQ section
  • Senior citizens (age 60 and older) and disabled may register for a campsite at a reduced rate. The qualifying individual must be present for the duration of the stay. Proof of age or disability is required at check in
  • No storage of RV’s, campers or boat trailers allowed.
  • Campers must be a least 21 years of age to register a campsite, and must be present during duration of stay.
  • Quiet Hours: 10:00 p.m.. – 7:00 a.m.. Strictly Enforced.
  • Fireworks are prohibited.
  • All fires must be confined to designated grills or fire rings. Moving of fire rings is prohibited

Shelter Information:

Ebenezer Park can be a wonderful place to host a group event.

Whether it's just your family or a club meeting, all of you can enjoy Ebenezer Park's five picnic shelters with their scenic views of Lake Wylie. All shelters are first come first served unless reserved. It is highly recommended that you make a shelter reservation request if your event falls on a Saturday or Sunday April through September. To make a reservation request select "Shelter Reservation Request" from the link above. Due to County policy we are not able to secure a reservation over the phone, we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Shelter 1 has 13 picnic tables and can accommodate groups as large as 75-100.

Shelters 2-5 have 2 picnic tables each and can accommodate 10-15 guests.

Each shelter is equipped with water, electrical and cooking grill.

The swimming area is open from Memorial Day weekend until Labor Day. Hours of operation are from 11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. daily when local schools are not in sessions. The swimming area is protected by lifeguards. Swimming is not permitted when there is no lifeguard on duty. Concessions are available during swimming hours.

Boating & Fishing

Fishing and boating opportunities are available to visitors of the park. If you are age 16 and older, you will need a valid South Carolina fishing license to fish Lake Wylie. These are available at area convenience stores, sporting goods stores and bait and tackle shops.

Ebenezer Park has three public boat ramps for boaters. The park does not have boats for rent.

Fishing is restricted within 50 feet of the boat ramps, boat docks and swimming area.

An afterhours Boating Access Card is available for rental. For details on renting an afterhour’s access card contact Ebenezer Park at 366-6620.

Unlawful Acts include but are not limited to the following:

  • Destroying, defacing, disturbing or removing any part of any building, sign, structure or equipment.
  • Destroying, cutting, breaking, removing, defacing, mutilating, injuring, taking or gathering any tree, shrub, other plant or plant part, rock, mineral, or geological feature except by permit.
  • Dumping any refuse or waste, including grey water, from any trailer or other vehicle except in places or receptacles provided for such use..
  • Operating vehicles in a reckless manner, or in excess of posted speed limits, or in areas other than those specifically intended for vehicular traffic.
  • Consuming or displaying in public any beverage of alcoholic content, including beer and wine or controlled substance.
  • Acting in a disorderly manner or creating any noise which would result in annoyance to others.
  • Entering a facility or area without regard to restrictions on public.

Pets Policy: are allowed but must be kept on a leash. County Ordinance states that Pet Owners must pick up their pets body waste. For your convenience Pet Stations are located throughout the park.

Do you take reservations?
Yes, Reservations can be made up to 13 months in advance. Reservations can be submitted online through the county website or at the Ranger Station. If assistance is needed please contact our staff.
What is your reservation/cancellation policy
Reservations are accepted up to 13 months in advance of the current date. The check-in date determines the earliest point at which a reservation can be made, even if the reservation extends into the subsequent period for which the reservations are not yet being accepted. For example: If you would like to check in on July 4, 2016 you can go online or visit the Ranger Station to make a reservation on June 4, 2015. An individual, 18 years of age or older, can make up to five (5) reservations per contact session (via the internet, or park) provided the required fees are paid accordingly and such reservations do not violate length of stay guidelines. Reservations made on behalf of another party must also reflect the name of that individual. All Reservations must be paid in full at time of Booking. Cancellation Policy: Cancellations will incur fees and penalties according to the following schedule: Camping Cancellations: With 15 plus (+) days’ notice, $10 handling fee charged. Within 0-14 days, a one nights charge applied. Camping Reservations can be changed/transferred to a different date to avoid any cancellation fee provided all camping rules and regulations are followed. Shelter Cancellations: With 30 plus (+) days’ notice, no penalty charged Within 4-29 days, a $10 handling fee will be applied. Within 0-3 days, No Refund Shelter Reservations can be changed/transferred to a different date to avoid any cancellation fee provided all rules and regulations are followed. Early Departure Policy: Guest can request an early departure In the event of an emergency. Remaining nights can be changed/transferred without fee or penalty. No Refunds will be issued for early departures. Refunds due will be processed through York County Finance Department. Processing and Transaction Fees are non-refundable.
What do I need to know about renting shelters
• Shelter Rentals are subject to Parking Fees beginning Memorial Day Weekend and concluding on Labor Day. • No Alcoholic Beverages allowed in the Park • Pets must be kept on a leash at all times. Please pick up refuse left by pets and dispose of in pet stations. • Swimming Area open daily from Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day. (swimming is subject to lifeguard availability once school resumes) • Please do not dispose of used cooking oil/grease or ice cream churn salt water on park grounds. See park staff to dispose of properly.
