Absentee Ballot Applications can be requested in-person, by regular mail, email, phone, fax, or on-line.

Request an Absentee Application Online
  • You will need:
    (1) Access to a computer with a printer in order print the application and,
    (2) the Acrobat® Reader® software must also be installed prior to starting this process.
  • Download, Print, Sign & Date your personal absentee application.
  • Signed applications must be returned by mail, email, fax, or personal delivery.
  • Note: If you were unable to print your application, contact our office immediately.

Photo ID is Required for Voting

Voters are required to have a photo ID in order to vote in person for all elections.

Voters will now need to show one of the five forms of Photo IDs list below in order to vote in-person:

  • S.C. Driver's License
  • ID Card issued by S.C. Department of Motor Vehicles
  • S.C. Voter Registration Card with Photo
  • Federal Military ID
  • U.S. Passport

The mission of the Voter Registration and Elections Office is to promote and facilitate voter registration, properly maintain all official voter registration records, conduct fair and impartial elections in accordance with state and federal election laws, protect the integrity of the election process for all, and provide quality customer service for every citizen.
