T.Y.L.E.R-York County Water Education Program For Schools
Welcome to the York County Water Education Program. The York County Environmental Compliance Division would like you to meet T.Y.L.E.R the Turtle. His name stands for Teaching York County to Live Environmentally Responsible.
The T.Y.L.E.R program is an environmental education program designed for all public, private, charter and home schools, as well as youth after school and camp programs. The program includes classes for age groups K-12. The program was designed with the South Carolina and National Educational Standards in mind. Our classes are a great way to supplement classroom learning with a hands-on approach. Our classes can be tailored for all age groups and can be customized to fit your needs. The classes are also great for scout badge earning opportunities.

- Environmental awareness, appreciation, stewardship and activism
- Pollution and prevention
- Soil erosion, deposition and sedimentation
- Water Quality and Water Quantity
- Natural Resources
- Aquatic Ecology
- Scientific Investigation

Fun facts about the instructor:
Our instructor, Caci Nance, graduated from University of Georgia with a Bachelors of Science in Agriculture Education and Walden University with a Master's in Education. She has worked as an agriculture & science teacher in North & South Carolina, prior joining York County’s Environmental Compliance Division. When not working for York County she loves spend time with her family, being outdoors, and shopping.
All York County Employees have passed background and drug tests prior to hire and are subjected to unannounced mandatory drug testing.
