Voter Registration Cut-off Dates:

  • Register In Person at our office by Friday, April 3, 2015 by 5:00 PM.
  • Download a Registration Form complete it, and return it to this office by Fax or Postmarked Mail by Saturday, April 4, 2015.
  • Register Online by Saturday, April 4, 2015 by 11:59 PM
  • You must be registered at least 30 days prior to any election in order to vote in that election.
  • Visit www.scvotes.org for more information about registering to vote.

  • Absentee In Person is available.
  • Vote Absentee In Person at our office in downtown York - Monday thru Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

  • Absentee Ballots By Mail Ends: Friday, May 1, 2015
  • Absentee Ballots By Mail cannot be accepted at any Election Day Polling Location.
    Per S.C. Code 7-15-430, Absentee Ballots can only be accepted by 7:00 PM on Election Day at the Absentee Precinct located at:

United Way Project Connect & Voter Photo ID Event

As part of Project Connect, the Board of Voter Registration & Elections Office of York County will be offering free Voter Photo IDs on:

Project Connect "Day of Caring" is presented by United Way, Weed and Seed, the City of Rock Hill, and Leadership York County. The one-day event offers immediate assistance and services to homeless and low-income families.

All York County voters are invited to come have a Voter Photo ID made. For more information about Voter Photo IDs, please call our office at 684-1242 or 909-7194.

Election Worker Enrollment Form

We are looking for local citizens interested in working the polls on Election Day! To become a Certified Election Worker, you must complete 6-hours of in-class training and pass a final open-book test. This is an exciting time to be part of the election process!
