Becoming a Poll Manager
Minimize

The Registration and Elections Commission for York County is seeking citizens interested in working at the polls. Persons working at the polls/precincts in South Carolina are officially called poll managers. Their job is to process voters, issue ballots, assist voters with their questions and to ensure elections are conducted according to South Carolina Election Laws. Poll managers in York County are required to attend training classes, consisting of six hours of classroom instruction prior to working at the polls. After you become certified, you will be given an opportunity to work side by side with a very elite group of citizens called poll managers. Working at the polls is an excellent way to meet new people and provide a service to your community.

For more information about becoming a poll manager, call the Registration and Election Offices at 684-1242 between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm - Monday-Friday. You may also download a Poll Manager Training Application and return the completed application in order to be added to our mailing list for announcements of scheduled poll manager training classes.
