Now adopting a pet at the York County Animal Shelter is easy. There are many beautiful cats (and kittens) and dogs (and puppies) that need a good home. Animals are held for five days at the shelter before they are eligible for adoption.
Although dogs and cats can be adopted daily, the largest selection is available on Tuesday and Thursday.
The adoption fee is $77.00. Seventy one dollars pays for spaying or neutering the animal and six dollars pays for rabies vaccination.
The Animal Shelter is located off Highway 5 on Justice Blvd., near the York County Landfill, one mile east of York.
Visiting hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and Saturday morning from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
If you need any additional information call the Animal Shelter at 628-3190.
