Ebenezer Park is a York County-maintained park located north of Rock Hill on the shores of Lake Wylie. It is on Boatshore Road just off of Mount Gallant Road. Its 26-acres offer visitors the opportunity to camp, picnic, swim, fish and boat.

Functions

To provide a safe and secure recreational area for visitors, supervised by a park ranger.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and coordinate daily activities of Ebenezer Park.

This Office Does Not:

  • Offer sports related activities
  • Register individuals for sports related activities
  • Offer summer camps

The park is open everyday from 6 a.m. until dusk.

 

Entrance Fee

From Memorial Day weekend until Labor Day weekend there is an entrance fee to Ebenezer Park. The cost is $3 per vehicle for York County residents, $6 per vehicle for out-of-county guests, $1 per vehicle for senior citizens or disabled persons and $7 for multi-passenger vehicles with seating of more than 12 people.

Camping

There are 69 campsites at the park, each with electrical, water and sewer hook-ups. A comfort station with hot showers is provided. All campsites are available on a first come, first served basis. The camping fee is $13.00 per night for York County residents, $15.00 for non county residents or $10.00 per night for senior citizens over age 60 and disabled individuals.

Campers may register from 8 a.m. until dark. Check-out time is 2 p.m. Campers are limited to a maximum stay of 14 consecutive days. From October 1 to March 31, campers must move to one of the four different sections of the campground. From April 1 - September 30, campers must leave the park for at least 24 hours and then may return to a different section. There is a limit of 6 people per site. Campers under age 21 must be registered with an adult. One recreational vehicle, trailer or tent with one additional small tent are allowed per site.

Pets are allowed in the camping area and must be kept on a leash. To insure the enjoyment and safety of all visitors, alcoholic beverages and firearms are prohibited. Campfires are permitted in designated areas, however fires must not be left unattended. Do not move fire rings or remove picnic tables from site.

Quiet Hours are from 10:00 p.m. until 8:00 a.m.

Ebenezer Park can be a wonderful place for your group to meet.

Whether it's just your family or a club meeting, all of you can enjoy Ebenezer Park's five picnic shelters with their scenic views of Lake Wylie. The best part is that they can be reserved .

The four smaller shelters, which can be reserved for $20 each, accommodate about 10 people. The large shelter, can be reserved for $50, and is suitable for approximately 60 people. Each shelter has an electrical outlet and grill.

There are also several open-air picnic tables at the park. Each has a grill and is first-come, first-served.

Swimming

The swimming area is open from Memorial Day until Labor Day. Visitors can swim in Lake Wylie at the park's swimming area. The swimming area opens at 11:00 a.m. and closes at 6:00 p.m. daily until school starts, and is protected by lifeguards. Swimming is not permitted when there is no lifeguard on duty. Vending machines with snacks and drinks are available. The fee for swimming is included in the park entrance fee. The cost is $3 per vehicle for York County residents, $6 per vehicle for out-of-county guests, $1 per vehicle for senior citizens or disabled persons and $7 for multi-passenger vehicles with seating of more than 12 people.

A season parking pass may be purchased by York County residents for $25. A season pass for out-of-county guests is $30. A season parking pass is available for senior citizens age 60 and older or disabled persons, for $10.

To ensure enjoyment and safety of all people, alcoholic beverages and firearms are prohibited at Ebenezer Park. Pets are allowed in the camping area and must be kept on a leash.

Boating & Fishing

Fishing and boating opportunities are available to visitors of the park. If you are age 16 and older, you will need a valid South Carolina fishing license to fish Lake Wylie. These are available at area convenience stores, sporting goods stores and bait and tackle shops.

Ebenezer Park has three public boat ramps for boaters. Although the park does not have boats for rent, fishing is allowed, but not from the piers or swimming area. 

From Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend there is a daily charge of $3 per vehicle to park and launch a boat for York County residents, or $6 per day for non-residents. For $25, York County residents can get a summer season pass, or $30 for non-residents. For $10, residents or non-residents alike can obtain a yearly night access card to use the boat ramps after park hours. The card is renewable every year on March 1st.
