The York County Department of Fire Safety coordinates firefighter training for all fire departments in the York County Fire Service. The York County Fire Training Center, located at 2151 Ogden Road in Rock Hill, is the primary facility where firefighters from the surrounding counties and local industry can receive local fire and rescue training as well as courses taught by the South Carolina Fire Academy. The Region 2 Office of the South Carolina Fire Academy is co-located at the York County Fire Training Center.
