Governing Body: Ten-member board appointed by the York County Council. One member to be appointed from each Council District and three (3) at-large.

Term of Office: Four-years.

Function: To establish, equip, maintain and operate a County Library system. To acquire books and other informational material and provide for their circulation throughout all sections of the County, and to accept donations of land, services, materials, books, and other things for the establishment and equipping of libraries.
