Authority:
Governing Body: Twenty-one members appointed by the York County Council. Two members of the commission shall be appointed from each of the seven (7) County Council Districts in York County and seven (7) members of the commission shall be appointed from the County at large.
Term of Office: Four years.
Function: Enhance museum-specific and general administrative functions; further the development of the county's cultural resources; preserve the artistic, cultural, historical and natural history heritage of York County; create a more unified and accessible collection related to the County’s shared cultural heritage. The Commission may, by a two thirds vote of members of the Commission at any meeting of the Commission, annually elect ex-officio members of the Commission for terms of one (1) year. Ex-officio members of the Commission may participate in discussions of policy or other matters of importance to the Commission, but shall not be permitted to vote on any matter coming before the Commission.
